We will shortly be sending out a notice regarding Collector 100 (details below), together with a special publication (also below).
I apologise for the continuing delay in the publication of Penguin Collector 100. This anniversary 160-page issue was scheduled to be published in September to coincide with the Society's Annual Meeting in Kendal. I have been unable, for good reasons and bad, to complete work on it. I still cannot commit myself to a firm date but will do all that I can to complete the editing task and send it to press as soon as possible. When the publication date is fixed, it will be posted on the Society's website.

In the meantime we are pleased to enclose copies of a facsimile edition of Puffin Picture Book 114 Noah's Ark and of The Story of Noah’s Ark, published jointly with Joe Pearson at Design for Today. John Miles was the author of Noah's Ark in 1960 when he was working for Penguin. He was an honorary member of the Penguin Collectors Society who sadly died in December 2023. But he had written an account of the book’s creation and Sophie Jones, the recipient of the 2022 PCS Bursary, has added an essay on the Puffin cut-outs. Joe has produced a fitting tribute to accompany the reproduction of the original book.
