Previously unpublished manuscript dating from 1980, Gertrude Williams’ biography of her husband, a key figure in British culture for at least a third of the 20th century. Hardbound book with dustwrapper, based on the design of Williams’ own memoir of Allen Lane, published by the Bodley Head after Lane’s death.
