Annual General Meeting 2015

The Society's 42nd Annual Meeting will be held in Salisbury, Wiltshire on the weekend of Saturday 13 September.

Our meeting will be held at Sarum College in The Close which provides comfortable accommodation and has the added bonus of some fine collegiate buildings and a chapel and library by William Butterfield.

This is a particularly special time to visit Salisbury as the Cathedral Library holds the finest of the four surviving originals of the Magna Carta and we are lucky to be able to secure the good offices of Emily Naish, the archivist, to show us around on the Friday afternoon.

The business end of the AGM will take place on Saturday and there will also be the usual opportunity to browse the books that members have brought for display and sale.

Our talk this year will be given by Tim Graham on the subject of the dealings between Kurt Enoch and Allen Lane over Penguin USA.
