Winter Season thoughts ... ITToYA

There are too many other distractions over the Christmas season to bombard you with more so I will limit myself to covering some housekeeping points regarding the website and social media.

Firstly, for those who pay a yearly subscription, we have instituted a simpler renewal form that should save you time. It is accessed from the Join the Society page which now has a renewal link in the first paragraph. You merely have to fill in your name and email address (in case something goes awry and we need to contact you) and, of course, move on to Paypal and do the necessary. If any of your details have changed (especially your address) please use the full joining form.

Another innovation is a slight change to the Links page. Under the Bookdealer information sites there are now links to two new pages; one is the list that was formerly in this block and the second goes through to a list of smaller dealers and bookshops who have a good stock of, or specialise in, Penguins. They are laid out in alphabetical order which makes it a lengthy scroll but if you are accessing on the move from a mobile platform this may be helpful. Any members who have a local bookshop that they feel would like to be included should ask the owner to get in touch with Victoria Love who will explain the criteria for incorporation. Her email address is [email protected].

Social media and this latest news section are the methods I am employing to keep members up to date with what is going on both within the Society and of wider Penguinary interest so if you have anything that you feel would interest PCS members please drop me a line or send me a link - [email protected].

Talking of links, I have just been alerted by our Editor that there was an article on Radio 4 on Pevsner; he highly recommends it and it can be found here.
