The information we collect
We monitor user traffic patterns and use of this website. We do not store or capture personal information about you, but merely log the user’s IP address which is automatically recognised by the web server. We do not and will not pass any of this information to third parties.
What about “cookies”?
Cookies are small pieces of information that are stored on your computer’s hard drive by your browser. The Penguin Collectors’ Society employs cookies on two pages on this site: the publications order form and the associated printable order list. The cookies for these pages expire after 28 days, and are used simply to store publication order details.

Data Protection Act
Membership records are held on computer. To comply with the Data Protection Act it is incumbent on us to enquire whether there is any objection to our maintaining this information. Should any member have an objection to this, or query as to its purpose, we shall be pleased to send a printed copy of the full details held under their name, and make any amendments requested, or remove it from the list altogether. Membership data is held for two purposes: to facilitate internal administration and distribution of publications, and to provide a service for members, by putting them in touch with fellow collectors or dealers who have specific books or series on offer.
