Bedford AGM Report
This has been our best suppported Weekend for some years. Around 30 members stayed in Bedford and double that number attended the Saturday AGM, lecture from Joe Pearson, and Bawden ‘show and tell’ by Victoria Partridge of The Higgins.
Not only was this a chance to meet up with old friends, but it was also a great opportunity to exchange ideas and information on all things Penguin with some newer members.
Bedford itself put on a good show and the sun shone throughout. Some members found time to raid the local bookshops (the Salvation Army shop is reported to have an excellent selection) as well as visit some of the other Museums. The Higgins was definitely well worth spending time in.
James Mackay outdid himself on the organisational front and we are extremely grateful for all his hard work in creating such a gemütlich atmosphere.
