Annual General Meeting 2017 - further details

As you will be aware, the 2017 AGM is taking place at The Higgins, a gallery and museum in Bedford. The AGM itself will take place at 1200 on Saturday 23 September. Afterwards we will see some of the gallery's material on Edward Bawden and Joe Person will give an illustrated talk on Bawden's connection with Penguin.

The leaflet in Newsletter 88 gives a full outline of the programme, which will include a pub supper on the Friday and an informal dinner on Saturday. It also includes the formal notice and agenda of the AGM and the proxy form to enable you to vote if you can't attend.

If you do plan to attend, it would be greatly appreciated if you could contact James Mackay (again, details in the Newsletter) who will send you a booking form. This will enable you to book a display table (if required) and refreshments during the day. It will also help James to organise the dinner on Saturday evening. There is no absolute requirement to book for the AGM but it would aid planning!

For members who wish to stay, James has arranged a discounted B&B rate (for the two nights) at The Embankment which is close to The Higgins. The telephone number is 01234 261332 and you should use the reference PCS. Rooms will be held for us until 10 June. There is other accommodation in the area but The Embankment is probably the most convenient.
