The open competition started in the academic year 2014-2015 and PCS made its inaugural award to Kelly Neubeiser who was studying for an MA in Publishing at Oxford Brookes University. The 2015-2016 award has been given to Caitlin Holton who is an MSc student at the University of Edinburgh studying Book History and Material Culture.
